Refund Policy

Last updated

We would rather give your money back than keep it if Ogen is not working for you. This policy explains exactly when and how.

14-day money-back guarantee

If you are not happy with Ogen, ask for a refund within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it in full. You do not need to explain why.

This applies to your first charge on a plan, and to the first charge after an upgrade. It applies whatever the plan’s billing period.

Free trials

Only a plan published on getogen.com with a free trial has a free period, for the length published there. Nothing is charged during it, so there is nothing to refund — cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. Every other plan is charged when you subscribe, and that first charge is covered by the 14-day money-back guarantee above.

Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel at any time from your account settings, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next renewal — your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term.

Cancelling on its own does not trigger a refund of the current period. If you want the current period refunded and you are within the 14-day window, say so when you cancel.

Renewals outside the 14 days

Charges more than 14 days old are generally not refundable, and we do not pro-rate an unused part of a period. That said, if a renewal genuinely caught you out — you had not used the Service and meant to cancel — email us. We will look at it and we are reasonable about it.

If we discontinue the Service or terminate your account through no fault of yours, we refund the prepaid, unused portion in full.

How to request a refund

Email [email protected] from the address on the account, with the date of the charge. We aim to reply within one business day and to approve or explain within three.

Approved refunds are issued by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, to the original payment method. Lemon Squeezy processes them promptly; your bank typically takes a further 5–10 business days to show the money.

Exceptions

We may decline a refund where an account has breached our Terms of Service — for example by using the Service for spam or other prohibited activity — or where there is clear evidence of abuse of this policy, such as repeated subscribe-and-refund cycles.

Chargebacks

Please email us before opening a chargeback. A chargeback costs us a fee and freezes the account while the bank investigates, and almost everything people open one for is something we would simply have refunded. [email protected] is read by a person.

Your statutory rights

This policy sits on top of the rights your local consumer law gives you — including, for consumers in the EU and UK, the statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Nothing here takes those rights away.
